BGR - Wed, 09/18/2019 - 14:40

Robot vacuums have come a long way in the past few years. As they've become more popular and an increasing number of companies have started to make them, competition has driven quality up and prices down. Even still, you can typically expect to pay at least a few hundred dollars for a premium model with features like ultra-strong suction, self-charging, a large dust box, and good performance on low-pile carpet in addition to hard flooring. That is indeed typically the case, but not today thanks to a killer deal on Amazon. Hurry and you can pick up the top-rated Pureatic V2 Premium Automatic Robot Vacuum Cleaner for just $128.98 after you clip the coupon on the Amazon page!

The 10 Apple Arcade launch games you have to play

The verge - Wed, 09/18/2019 - 14:30

Let’s just get this out of the way: if you’re at all interested in high-quality mobile games and you own an iOS device, Apple Arcade is a no-brainer. The subscription service launches tomorrow for $4.99 a month, and it’s making its debut with a huge range of excellent games from renowned studios like Ustwo, Simogo, and Capy Games. If there are even two titles that pique your interest, that’s worth the price of admission.

The biggest problem with the service right now, though, is that it can be overwhelming. There’s just so much. It can make figuring out where to start almost paralyzing. For the past few days I’ve been digging through the Apple Arcade lineup to pick out the 10 games I’d recommend most, spanning a number of genres and play...

Google search can now point you to the exact part of a video you need

The verge - Wed, 09/18/2019 - 14:29

Google search is now able to point you to the exact parts of a video that are most helpful. The new feature, which launched yesterday, works by pulling timestamp information from a YouTube video’s description. The feature currently only works for YouTube videos in English language searches, but Google says it’s working to bring the functionality to more video publishers in the future, including CBS Sports and NDTV.

The feature should be especially helpful for finding the information you need in video tutorials, which YouTube is an amazing source of. The current problem is that actually extracting the information you need from these videos can be a bit of a struggle. Whether it’s a multistage video tutorial where the information you need...

Apple Watch Series 5 review roundup: There’s (still) no other smartwatch like it

BGR - Wed, 09/18/2019 - 14:17

While the latest iPhone already has plenty of competition from the Android camp, there is another Apple product that has absolutely no rival, other than itself. With each Apple Watch iteration, Apple has to outdo itself since no other alternatives come close to what Apple has achieved. The Apple Watch 5, which is already available for preorder, further proves that point. The new device hasn't received too many updates compared to its predecessor, but the updates that were made are fairly significant. Unsurprisingly, early reviewers agree that the newest Apple Watch is still the best smartwatch out there.
